Another Obama Baby Shirt

I cast my ballot today

Is there anything more adorable than an Obama-inspired baby outfit? We don’t think so… This one was appliqued by Becky in New Mexico for her daughter to wear when they volunteer with a Mamas for Obama group. Becky titled this photo “I Voted Today,” and you should too. Check out your earlier voting location here, and if you’re in Oregon, like we are, mail or drop off your ballots today!

Exclusive Photos from Maker Faire!

The wonderful Rachel Hobson provided the Obama Craft Project with some exclusive photos of some Obama-inspired crafts she spotted at Maker Faire in Austin, Texas today. (You can check out Rachel’s reporting from Maker Faire both on her blog, Average Jane Crafter, and over at the CRAFT Zine blog.)

First up is an awesome pysanky (Ukranian Easter eggs) made by 11-yeas-old Maddy Sherman.

Next is a fun DIY Shrinky Dink from Claire at Poopscape.

Thanks Rachel! Perhaps if we ask her really nicely, she’ll keep her eye out tomorrow too…

Obama Fleece Blanket & North Carolina Event

Barack Obama fleece blanket by kristabird.

North Carolina resident kristabird (those are her Chucks poking out from under the blanket in this photo) sewed this cozy fleece Barack Obama blanket (the back is blue, which is not shown in this photo) to donate as a raffle prize at Baracktoberfest in Carrboro, North Carolina this coming Sunday, October 19. Sounds like a fun event, too!
