DDOOCFS: Biden for VP

It’s about time we’ve show Joe Biden some love here on the Obama Craft Project. Both caribou and wolves are hoping Joe Biden is the next Vice President of the United States, according to these delightful hand screen printed T-shirts from Portlander Sarah Giles. You can pick up either a men’s or women’s style shirt proclaiming either “Wolves for Biden” or “Caribou for Biden” from her etsy shop. Not only is she donating $5 from each sale to the Obama campaign, Sarah’s doing so through the Obama Craft Project fundraising page! Thank you, Sarah!

Obama Screens for Super Volunteers

Obama Screens by Charity Larrison.

This is quite an inspiring project. Pennsylvanian Charity Larrison created these silkscreens with different Obama images. But they weren’t for herself. Nope. She figured out how to burn screens and made this batch up and shipped them off to the Obama campaign office in Reading, PA; the Reading office is going to print shirts for all of their “Super Volunteers.” What a wonderful way to recognize these special people. Charity says (in the Flickr photo description),

…this was probably the most difficult, annoying, time consuming and ultimately satisfying project I’ve ever taken on, and that is saying something.

Obama in the News: Screenprinted Synergy

obama in the news hahahahhaha by CBT's Closet.

CBT’s Closet
was testing out a screen for a project on some newspapers and discovered a bit of inadvertent synergy in her print. If you look carefully in the upper right-hand corner of the newspaper, there’s a sidebar about Martin Luther King, Jr and the “I Have a Dream” speech.
