Obama Onesie
Flickr user mizutamago says that she’s exercising her “constitutional right to exploit my child” by crafting this (completely thrifted) onesie for her kiddo. We think she’s fulfilling her obligation to raise her kiddo as an aware, engaged citizen… Who’s also very well dressed. Either way, this is absolutely adorable. She blogged about this project over here.

Greyhounds for Obama
Allison, from Cincinnati, Ohio, sent us this great picture of her beautiful greyhound, Perseus, sporting a custom Obama bandanna she made for him. We imagine he must be the best-dressed pooch on the block! You can read Allison’s blog post about this project over here.

Hope She Gets an “A”

Normanack, Michigan mom and crafter, was asked by her daughter’s American history teacher to repair the classroom stuffed animal. Here’s her story:
Sewing the arm back on was the work of a moment. I couldn’t help adding a little shirt to keep the wee beastie warm.
And I couldn’t help injecting a wee bit of political commentary. I do hope the teacher takes it in the gentle spirit in which it was given.
We that that’s brilliantly crafty and clever.

More Obama Party Banners
We’re thinking that Portland will soon be covered in Obama party banners (check out our own over here). These lovely rainbow colored ones were created by Becky aka VespaBelle, who captured the spirit of the diversity of the Obama campaign in her multi-hued string of pennants.

All in the Family Project
This project was all in the family for flickr user pdx-dodys. The family spent a rainy Portland, Oregon day stitching up this unique Obama sign. The kids pressed the sewing machine pedal while mom guided the fabric. Can’t think of a better family project…
