Bean Portrait

This is another Shepard Fairey-inspired piece, and–wowee–it’s made out of BEANS! Yes, beans. Flickr user monkeycat62 uploaded this to the Obama Craft Project Flickr pool and we almost passed out when we saw it! The shading and detail created by the beans of different sizes and colors is almost uncannily similar to the original. She’s entered it into the latest Craftster Challenge, which has a supermarket theme, and has posted details of her process right here. She says the purpose of this project is,

To get out the vote, inspire discussion, and act as my Obama poster since they were a limited edition run and I couldn’t get one.
