This project was all in the family for flickr user pdx-dodys. The family spent a rainy Portland, Oregon day stitching up this unique Obama sign. The kids pressed the sewing machine pedal while mom guided the fabric. Can’t think of a better family project…

Yes We Can!

Check out this post from The Fabric Society, who stitched a beautiful fabric “Yes We Can” banner to wave at Senator Obama as he was on his way to a fundraiser. Not only did they see him, they got to meet him! The Fabric Society is sending their banner around the country for others to wave on a busy corner for an hour or two. What a wonderful way to realize Obama’s vision for collaboration and community-building.

Not only is this bag from Flickr user emdot beautifully hand-embroidered, it’s environmentally smart, too.  You can read about Barack Obama’s plan for preserving our environment and providing new energy for America here.

Flickr user tiehmei stitched this Obama pillow. She made this in March–perhaps as a shout-out to how the campaign was en fuego after ten straight victories?
