DDOOCFS: Durham for Obama Skirts

Trudy in Durham, North Carolina emailed us this marvelous photo of the skirts she’s made as part of her fundraising effort for the Obama campaign. If you’d like one of these unique garments, send Trudy an email (she doesn’t have an Etsy shop) at lilwing [at] mindspring [dot] com. She doesn’t have an Etsy, shop so she’s primarily looking for locals who are interested in purchasing a skirt. But, if you’re not in the area, she’s can work something out with you as well. (If you have trouble reaching her via email, let us know and we’ll pass along her phone number.)

Obama Fleece Blanket & North Carolina Event

Barack Obama fleece blanket by kristabird.

North Carolina resident kristabird (those are her Chucks poking out from under the blanket in this photo) sewed this cozy fleece Barack Obama blanket (the back is blue, which is not shown in this photo) to donate as a raffle prize at Baracktoberfest in Carrboro, North Carolina this coming Sunday, October 19. Sounds like a fun event, too!

Bedazzled + Sequined T-Shirt

Fawn Pea of North Carolina (check out her blog here) bedazzled the outline of the “O” logo and then hand sequined the white stars and blue and red circles onto this old rock & roll T-shirt. We’ve been waiting for someone to upload something with a bit of sparkle to the OCP Flickr pool, and this gem of a shirt didn’t disappoint!

This is history…

Obama pin for Louise

You may not know this, but Obama Craft Project contributor Penny has been furiously making buttons for Obama volunteers and supporters in swing states. She’s made another wonderful pin, this one with a special twist, for a special person:

Somewhere in Durham NC, there’s a voter-registration dynamo named Louise. Louise is so tireless in her work that her kids are sometimes embarrassed–but Louise proclaims, “this is HISTORY! I don’t have time to be embarrassed!” This pin is for Louise.

Thank you Penny! And thank you, Louise!

“Cute Asses” Knitting Pattern

Cute Asses for Obama by caffaknitted.

You can craft up your own “Cute Ass for Obama” with this fun knitting pattern from Etsy seller caffaknitted, and benefit the Obama campaign too—she’s making a donation to the campaign for each pattern sold. She developed this pattern to celebrate the North Carolina primary—which Obama won by a good 15 points!
